Degerfors is an industrial municipality with approximately 9,000 residents. The municipality is located in the beautiful borderland between Värmland and Närke, where forest landscape meets plains. This is a new position within the department and offers some opportunity to shape it in consultation with your immediate supervisor. As an administration controller, you will have a key role in developing governance, quality, and long-term sustainability in the municipality's culture and education operations. You work closely with department management and political leadership and contribute to decisions that make a real difference for children and students in Degerfors. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you are responsible for, among other things: • Develop and quality assure the department's planning, budget, and follow-up processes. • Coordinate and support systematic quality work at the school unit and principal level. • Prepare analyses and decision-making materials for the committee and department management. • Follow up and communicate the committee's decisions and assignments throughout the organization. • Participate in networks and development work to strengthen the department's approaches. Additionally, the role includes: • Process coordination and work on developing and revising governance and support documents. • Coordination of government grants. • Preparation of materials for organizational and school structure planning. • Preparation of review statements. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with: • A university or college degree in pedagogy, public administration, political science, or other relevant education that the employer deems equivalent. • Several years of experience in qualified operations management and quality work, preferably within public administration. • Experience working in politically governed operations. • Strong ability to work consultatively with managers on analysis and planning work. • Good IT and system experience and experience working in multiple parallel systems. • Excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing. As a person, you are analytical, goal- and results-oriented, and have a good holistic perspective. You understand the driving forces in a politically governed organization and take initiative for development and improvement. Merit factors: • Experience with school law or work with governance documents in the education field. • Experience working with curricula in different school forms. • Knowledge of other relevant legislation, such as the Public Administration Act or the Local Government Act. • We place great emphasis on personal competencies and abilities.
