At our school, we actively work to develop our operations in various ways, including preventive and developmental initiatives based on Västerskolan's vision and pedagogical platform - Communication: The Path to Learning. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We want you to share our view that student participation and understanding of what is to be learned is important, and that it motivates our students to become responsible learners. You work in a team where school and after-school program jointly care for students. The role of Lead Teacher in the after-school program carries significant responsibility both pedagogically and administratively—you must keep development in focus whether you're working in the classroom during school hours or in the after-school program in the afternoons. Together with other staff, you lead the development of operations, collaboration between school and after-school program, guide and mentor, and follow up on systematic quality work in Stratsys. QUALIFICATIONS We want you to be trained as an after-school teacher, leisure pedagogue, or elementary teacher with certification to teach in after-school settings, or have education/competence that the employer deems suitable for the position. Teaching in the after-school program is adapted to the group's needs, and together with the team, you plan for increased goal attainment. Teaching during school hours should be adapted based on each student's prerequisites, and lessons should be characterized by clear expectations, a productive work environment, and joy of learning. You must be well acquainted with and uphold the professional ethical principles for teachers and be well versed in the primary school curriculum with the ability to implement it in practice. As a pedagogue, you have strong didactic abilities and can stimulate students in their development while adapting pedagogical activities to each student's circumstances and needs. It is a significant advantage if you have experience working in collaborative teams. As a person, you have good self-awareness and high personal maturity. You are comfortable with and thrive when providing clear leadership. You are calm and secure as a person, which enables you to handle changing situations and unexpected events—when they occur, you work methodically and systematically to resolve them. Furthermore, you have the ability to structure, plan, and prioritize your work both independently and with colleagues, and you take responsibility for improving it. You enjoy working in teams and value collaborative learning highly. Systematic quality work is important, and you implement it together with colleagues. We also believe you have a professional demeanor in your interactions with students, colleagues, and guardians while being attentive and patient. You have strong knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. It is important that you have good computer skills and the ability to integrate technology and digital tools into teaching.
