About the position Hushållningssällskapet Kalmar Kronoberg Blekinge operates a well-developed field trial program conducted in collaboration with multiple trial hosts. Our focus is to conduct crop cultivation trials with high scientific quality across all conceivable crops, such as forage, cereals, oilseeds, corn, beans, and onions. Trials are conducted using variety testing, plant protection, and irrigation methods. We are now seeking a trial technician for our trial operations at Torslunda trial station on Öland. Here we conduct field trials both at the station and with farmers in the surrounding area. As a trial technician with us, you will be part of an engaged team that together implements and follows up on field trials from start to finish. The work is practical and varied. In this role, you will work with everything from sowing and plant protection to grading, measurements, sampling, and threshing. No two days are alike – weather, crops, and the different phases of trials make the work both diverse and educational. In our team of trial technicians, you work on our large-scale agricultural crop trials and also collaborate closely with our horticulture manager who is responsible for other crops. If you want a developmental role where you learn a great deal about crop cultivation with varied tasks, this job is for you. You will also work conducting soil surveys for customers, primarily in Kalmar, Blekinge, and Kronoberg counties. About you We are seeking someone with documented experience in crop cultivation with agricultural crops. You thrive in a role where you collaborate with many different stakeholders and communicate clearly and professionally. As a person, you are structured and conscientious, with the ability to work in a small team. Above all, we place great importance on your personal qualities and how you can complement and strengthen our team. Qualifications relevant education in the agricultural sector or equivalent work experience interest in crop cultivation in Sweden Class B driver's license computer skills and ability to use the Microsoft Office package Class BE driver's license and authorization to handle chemical products are advantageous. If you are interested in taking on expanded responsibility in the form of a supervisory role – we consider that a merit, but it is not a requirement for the position.
