JOB DUTIES We are seeking a preschool teacher who wants to contribute to stimulating and sustainable education. Our preschool is located in a residential area with proximity to nature, which provides unique opportunities for children to closely study ecological processes and develop ecological literacy. In our atrium, we actively work with plants and animals to promote understanding of biodiversity and sustainable development. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible, together with your team, for planning, implementing, documenting, following up, and developing instruction in accordance with the preschool curriculum. With us, aesthetic learning processes and language promotion work are part of the instruction. Through creative activities, play, and exploration, children express themselves and develop their abilities in many different ways. Together, we shape an operation built on a co-inquiry approach, where instruction is based on children's interests and takes place in a playful and meaningful way. Together with other colleagues, you focus on the preschool's values and epistemology. You should be well versed in and familiar with the preschool's governing documents. Together with your colleagues, you share overall responsibility for planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation of educational activities. The preschool shall be children's arena where we together develop and create new knowledge where children's right to participate in a hopeful and sustainable future is the foundation of the democratic work that guides us in the preschools. This means that you use children's experiences, questions, and initiatives as the starting point for instruction. You work to ensure that children are given real opportunities for participation and influence in education, and you contribute to developing an approach where exploration, communication, and meaning-making are at the center. You contribute to creating accessible, inclusive, stimulating, and exploratory learning environments that enable children's different ways of expressing themselves and participating in shared learning processes. Different knowledge areas and perspectives are integrated in the instruction to create context and deepened understanding. Your duties include leading and developing instruction, working with pedagogical documentation as a basis for analysis and continued development, and actively contributing to systematic quality work. You collaborate with colleagues and guardians and participate in collegial learning to strengthen the quality and equity of education. QUALIFICATIONS You are a licensed preschool teacher and have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. You have good knowledge of our curriculum and mission and the ability to implement this in instruction. You use digital tools in instruction in a deliberate and professional manner to document, communicate, and deepen and broaden instruction. You use pedagogical documentation as a tool in planning, implementing, following up, and analyzing instruction, where children's experiences, questions, and interests are utilized. Prior to employment, a valid excerpt from the police's criminal record register is required by law. You collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a professional and respectful manner and work for children's participation and influence in education. You reflect on and analyze instruction and develop it based on children's experiences, questions, and interests. You create trusting relationships and meet children and adults with attentiveness and respect. You actively contribute to your team and participate in collegial learning and take responsibility for the quality of instruction and actively contribute to the development of operations. You plan, implement, and develop instruction and create conditions for children's exploration, communication, and meaning-making. You have experience developing learning environments and with project-based or exploratory approaches and creating conditions for dialogue, participation, and shared meaning-making. You also have experience with pedagogical documentation and systematic quality work. Experience working as a preschool teacher, and you should have experience with language-promoting approaches and knowledge about education for sustainable development.
