Substitute position August 2026 – June 2027 Do you want to work at a preschool that actively promotes sustainable development through environmental and health initiatives, spends considerable time outdoors, and deliberately works with small groups of children? At Hagvidson Ekot, we work in smaller groups throughout most of the day. Each group follows a clear daily structure. The preschool has three age-divided departments. We place great emphasis on language development, digitalization, children's influence, and parental involvement. Children's interests are valued and form the foundation of our activities. Our guiding principles are Safety, Participation, and Joy, which permeate all our work. Outdoor education, project-based learning, and Green Flag certification are prioritized areas for us. We grow our own food and compost our food waste. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for the activities and the preschool's development work. You lead reflection sessions, actively participate in team meetings, and contribute to documenting our activities. Together with your team, you lead project-based work where children's learning is the focus. You are expected to support the preschool's and children's development and create good conditions for parental participation through developmental conversations and parent meetings. About You We believe you are a confident and positive educator with some years of experience in the field. You want to develop and be challenged alongside children and colleagues. You are flexible, can take initiative independently, while also being collaborative, responsible, punctual, and stress-resilient. You contribute to an open, social climate. You ensure all interactions are positive ones by being a trustworthy, respectful, engaged, and attentive educator. You treat parents with respect and actively work to involve them in their children's daily activities. You are well-versed in the curriculum, enjoy project-based work, and understand the importance of well-documented activities. You enjoy working indoors and outdoors throughout all seasons. You will perform all typical preschool teacher tasks.
