Do you want to play a central role in ensuring electrical safety within the Swedish Armed Forces Technical School? As an electrical safety coordinator, you will also serve as fire protection leader and ensure fire safety within FMTS. The electrical safety coordinator at the Swedish Armed Forces Technical School (FMTS) will have the opportunity to combine expertise and experience in electrical and fire safety as a meaningful assignment for Sweden. Internal training for electrical safety coordinators and fire protection leaders will be conducted. About the Unit: FMTS Staff J4, the department is responsible for leading and following up on the unit's technical service, material and supply matters, infrastructure, and operational safety. Main Responsibilities Support the FMTS commander in conducting systematic electrical safety and fire protection work within the unit and, if needed, request support from Halmstad Garrison regarding electrical safety and fire protection. Conduct training in electrical safety/power supply and fire protection. Support subordinate commanders in their work to analyze, implement, and maintain systematic electrical safety and fire protection work in operations. Contribute to presenting the unit's electrical safety training needs during training dialogues with the Swedish Armed Forces Technical School. Support during military exercises and conduct internal training initiatives. Conduct internal audits and report current status at management reviews. Follow up on deviations and provide suggestions for corrective measures. Coordinate regular meetings on electrical and fire safety and participate in centrally arranged theme days, municipal inspections, and the Swedish Armed Forces' own security inspections. The work also includes supporting the garrison's electrical safety coordinators and fire protection leaders with training, specialist expertise, and assessments in matters. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Adequate post-secondary education and/or equivalent professional experience in electrical safety and fire protection. Good computer proficiency in MS Office programs Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English Good administrative skills Driver's License Category B Personal Qualities To succeed and thrive in this role, you should be communicative and willing to share your experience within the organization. You should be able to guide the FMTS commander in his decision-making with well-balanced summaries. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
