As an airport controller in Borlänge, you'll primarily work with charter flights to destinations like Greece, the Canary Islands, and Cyprus - you'll meet travelers full of anticipation. And you'll help ensure their journey starts in the best way possible. We typically have one departure per week and need someone willing to work 1-2 times per week, in shifts of 3-4 hours, usually in the afternoons but sometimes early mornings. You'll usually work in a team of 5-6 people who together ensure each departure runs smoothly, safely, and well. As an airport controller, you'll primarily work with service and security in an airport environment. In this dynamic, international, and multilingual setting, you'll be part of a dedicated team providing services to airports, airlines, and many other airport-related companies. Your job is to check and double-check all conceivable threats, and to create a safe, secure, and pleasant experience for travelers and visitors. You will, for example: Conduct security checks on passengers Conduct security checks on baggage and goods Thoroughly inspect vehicles, buildings, and parking areas Inspect air mail, cargo, and catering equipment We are safety. We are Securitas. Requirements Specific Requirements: You have approved grades in Swedish from the first year of upper secondary school You are fluent in both Swedish and English. We consider it a merit if you have a driver's license and access to your own car, as you may work at times when public transportation is not always available, so it's an advantage if you have a driver's license and your own vehicle. However, it is not a requirement if you have other good ways to arrange your transportation to/from the workplace. If you speak languages other than Swedish and English, that is also a merit. As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized, and can handle periods of high work tempo. We'd like to see that you are patient and have a strong interest in technology and find it easy to understand instructions.
