JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will be part of the Social Support Team in Svenljunga. The Social Support Team works on behalf of the municipality. We work with children and families, substance abuse and addiction, LSS/social psychiatry, and certain services without formal decisions. As a Family Counselor/Support Educator on the Social Support Team, you'll be part of a work team and scheduled according to operational needs, which may include evening and weekend shifts. You'll be in the group primarily working with children and families, but when needed, we help each other across groups. This means you may work with other target groups that we serve on the Social Support Team. As a Family Counselor/Support Educator working with children and families, it's important that you can create and tailor interventions based on the family's needs to promote positive change and enable children and young people to remain in their home environment or to actually return home from out-of-home placement. We use a systems-theoretical approach where we place the person in need of our support at the center. We believe that working alliance and continuity over time are important parts of change work. We're also convinced that social change work must be conducted in close collaboration with those affected and with collaborative partners. Together we work to prevent and enable change in life situations that lead to good prospects for the future. Implementation planning, documentation, and follow-up of individual goals are important parts of the work to ensure we're responsive and to guarantee that interventions have the desired effect. The Family Counselor/Support Educator also has a responsibility to drive pedagogical development in the service together with colleagues and management. Work tasks may also include the following areas: • Method development • Environmental monitoring • Develop and revise procedures • Quality assurance, monitoring, and analysis of service delivery • Implementation of training initiatives • Supervision of students • Additional assignments may arise QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with a strong interest in and experience working with children and families. You should have post-secondary education in social work, such as a degree as a social worker or equivalent education that the employer deems appropriate. To succeed in your role as a Family Counselor/Support Educator working with children and families, it's important that you're naturally able to connect and build good relationships with children and adults, both individually and in groups. We'd like to see that you have demonstrated strong collaboration skills and are well-versed in network work. We'd like you to have several years of experience in social work. Since this position is primarily focused on children and families, ideally you have experience in this field. If you have further training in FCU, family therapy, and/or similar work experience, you will be prioritized. A driver's license is required. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent. Working hours: Scheduled. 37 hours/week, weekend and evening work may occur.
