The Authority Operations area is one of four operational areas within the Social Affairs and Employment Administration responsible for child, youth, and family services, municipal labor market initiatives, and adult education. The Authority Operations area handles the receipt of reports and applications concerning children, young people, and adults, investigation and follow-up of interventions according to the Social Services Act, the Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act and the Compulsory Care of Young Persons (Special Provisions) Act, foster care, and special support for young people with behavioral problems/criminality. JOB DUTIES As a social worker with us, you will handle cases concerning children, young people, and adults with the opportunity to specialize in particular target groups if desired. You investigate and follow up on implemented interventions according to the Social Services Act, the Care of Young Persons Act, and the Labor Market Services Act. We encourage a creative approach and work closely with our colleagues within the operational area and administration. Our case management is based on Signs Of Safety. We focus on what works and have confidence in the client's network and own resources. Depending on your experience, you will be offered opportunities for mentoring, support to colleagues, and specialized work areas based on interest. QUALIFICATIONS A social work degree is required for this position. We would like you to have experience exercising public authority in child and family services, and secondarily in the municipal sector. As a social worker with public authority responsibilities, you need to be able to assess, document, and communicate decisions. You need to be fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing. Driving is part of the job and requires you to have a category B driver's license for a manual vehicle. We want you, just like us, to be an engaged and flexible team player who enjoys driving your tasks with initiative and responsibility.
