Palettens Preschool is located in Hageby, where we have a large, lovely outdoor yard and proximity to forest, library, and playgrounds. In the fall, Paletten will merge with Önskestjärnan, combining both staff and children from both preschools. The preschool consists of six departments, three for younger children and three for older children. Each department is staffed with both preschool teachers and childcare assistants, and the operations also have access to a special education teacher and speech-language pathologist. Our activities are based on children's curiosity, interests, play, learning, individual needs, and experiences. Play is our primary pedagogical method and serves as the foundation for learning, teaching, and designing our environments. Therefore, we continuously work to reflect on our view of children and our approach. We are now seeking 1–2 certified preschool teachers as some of our colleagues will be studying and on leave during the fall. Your Responsibilities As a certified preschool teacher, you are responsible for implementing the preschool's governing documents and the unit's prioritized goals in teaching, as well as for developing the operations together with your work team. You actively work to ensure that education is based on scientific grounds and proven experience, and contribute to creating equitable education with a focus on children's development and learning. Together with your work team and principal, you work to develop the operations based on the curriculum and the unit's overarching goals. You plan, conduct, document, and follow up on education through pedagogical documentation and systematic quality work. At Paletten, we use a shared reflection tool each week to strengthen the systematic approach to project-based work, children's progress, child health work, and values-based work. The role also involves organizing and developing operations across the entire preschool together with colleagues and the principal. You actively contribute to collaboration, development, and change initiatives in the operations, and work toward a professional approach and a good collaborative climate. Who are you? We seek someone who has a preschool teacher degree and certification as well as experience with pedagogical work with children. You have experience and knowledge of organizing work across the entire preschool, for example in a role as coordinator, team leader, or similar. You also have experience with pedagogical documentation and good knowledge of the preschool's governing documents and systematic quality work. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint. It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience in NPF. As a person, you have an easy time creating and developing positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You communicate clearly and adapt your way of conveying information based on the recipient and situation. You are secure and stable in yourself and can maintain calm, focus, and a positive approach even in stressful situations. You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive your work forward while having good collaboration skills and contributing to development together with others. You have the ability to coach and develop both children and colleagues through a positive and engaging approach. We seek someone who is curious, creative, and innovative, and who enjoys bringing ideas and new perspectives to develop the operations. You are flexible and see opportunities in change initiatives, and have the ability to create engagement and participation among others in development processes.
