We are now looking for a dedicated software developer to join our Ground Combat team at Saab. Here you will have the opportunity to work with advanced embedded systems at the forefront of technology, from requirements definition to finished product and in close collaboration with experts in multiple technical areas. Your Role As a software developer, you will be a key player in a cross-functional team that designs, develops, and tests solutions for Ground Combat's product portfolio. You will work closely with colleagues in electronics, mechanics, electromechanics, systems design, and product management. Your main areas of responsibility: Break down and refine technical requirements Design and implement robust software solutions in C/C++ Integrate, test, and verify software developed by the team Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile activities Contribute to the product's technical roadmap and long-term development Work with modern methods for efficient software development The placement location for this role is Karlskoga. Your Profile You are curious, quality-conscious, and enjoy working in teams. We would like to see that you have a willingness to take responsibility, contribute ideas, and help drive development forward. Civil engineering degree in computer science or equivalent higher engineering education At least 3 years of experience in embedded systems software development Strong competence in C and C++ Experience in development and test development in Python Good communication skills in both Swedish and English, spoken and written This position requires that you undergo and pass security clearance according to applicable regulations at any given time.
