Then the position as Unit Manager for Special Housing Section might be perfect for you! Currently, about twenty unit managers work in the section. Unit managers participate in the section's management group and have regular networking meetings every two weeks, which creates a good platform for coaching, support, and mutual assistance. At most units within the section, approximately 25-35 employees work to create a safe and pleasant environment for our service users. Together with these competent employees, you will lead and develop a very important operation! The Care Administration's work is built on shared core values where safety is a central concept in work with the customer. Every interaction with the individual should be characterized by good treatment, continuity, and influence. Job Responsibilities As a unit manager, your primary task is to lead, plan, and develop the operation. This is done based on granted assistance decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and within given financial frameworks, with the goal that service users receive good, high-quality care. The position of unit manager means you are responsible for staff, budget, and operations. You coach and follow up on your employees' efforts and work actively to ensure our service users are met by caring staff who value making others feel better. In this position, you will collaborate internally within the municipality with, for example, the service administration, the health and medical care section, LSS (support for people with disabilities), and externally with Region Dalarna, voluntary organizations, and others. It is important to us that when you join us, you feel we take care of you from the start. We therefore have mentorship for newly hired managers, and there are good opportunities to develop as a leader through leadership development programs and internal training in work environment, rehabilitation, recruitment, and more. Central support functions are also available for, for example, finance, HR, and legal matters. Qualifications The role requires: - University degree from a social work program or other education that the employer deems equivalent - Work experience from care and elderly care work - Several years of work experience as a unit manager in care and elderly care where responsibility for staff, budget, and operations were included in the position - Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, spoken and written - Good computer skills and IT proficiency - Driver's license (Category B) Personal Qualities We are looking for a communicative leader who helps others develop in their professional roles through supportive and coaching leadership. You are relationship-oriented and have the ability to contribute to an open climate and good cooperation both internally and externally. It is important to us that you have a clear customer focus where you show understanding for current and future customer needs. You are confident and have the ability to stay calm, even in tough situations. Finally, we see that you work methodically and structurally while enjoying a varied role that requires flexibility.
