The current unit manager is transitioning to another position after many years of dedicated service to psychiatry. An opportunity now exists to apply for the position of unit manager for the Neuropsychiatric Outpatient Clinic in Östersund. As unit manager, you will lead a department that will embark on an exciting development journey over the coming years. The clinic will relocate in 2028 to new centrally located premises in Östersund alongside major parts of psychiatric outpatient care. This relocation, combined with changes in national guidelines and the unit's mandate, will frame an important upcoming development effort. The Neuropsychiatric Outpatient Clinic (NPM) is centrally located in Östersund and serves residents from the entire Jämtland County. The clinic is responsible for assessing neuropsychiatric disabilities and treating ADHD, Autism, and co-occurring general psychiatric conditions. The target group is patients over 18 years of age. The Psychiatry Division encompasses outpatient clinics, three full-time inpatient units, a mobile care team, and a psychiatric emergency clinic. The division has approximately 270 employees in total. In your daily work as a manager, you will receive support from business developers, administrators, HR consultants, and financial managers. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Neuropsychiatric Outpatient Clinic is one of our largest outpatient clinics and is crucial for a growing patient population in society. The operation develops in accordance with the National Care and Treatment Programs for ADHD and Autism based on established guidelines and current evidence. In your role, you collaborate with other operations and work long-term, for example in partnership with Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to support young people transitioning around their 18th birthday. As unit manager, you hold responsibility for occupational environment, budget, and personnel management for approximately 25 employees. You have overall responsibility for the clinic's daily operations and development work. We are looking for someone who wants to continue developing the clinic's work with digital advancement and openness to new work methods. Under your leadership, the clinic will develop with a good work environment and a modern, forward-thinking operation. You lead the unit in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and a Psychologist with management responsibilities. Together with you, we want to create value for our patients. The position is a four-year management assignment with a permanent employment contract in your base profession. QUALIFICATIONS You have higher education in healthcare or other education/experience deemed relevant. We value previous leadership experience in the public or private sector. It is advantageous if you have experience working in psychiatric operations. You are well-organized, driven by new challenges, and demonstrate a professional demeanor that characterizes your leadership. As a leader, you focus on the bigger picture and through hands-on leadership, you have the ability to support, develop, engage, and inspire your team. You have the ability to provide direction and create conditions for achieving set goals. You enjoy working results-oriented and can make difficult decisions. To drive development forward, close collaboration among management colleagues is required, and you are therefore a good team player. You actively participate in the division's development where collaboration with other operational areas and healthcare partners is important. Employment type: Permanent employment.
