WORK TASKS In your role as unit manager for disability support services, you will have a central role in leading and developing operations that make a real difference in people's daily lives. You are responsible for the daily operations of a service residence and a group home within the social welfare administration's area of operations and ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with legislation, guidelines, and politically decided goals. The position also includes management responsibility for staff groups within personal assistance. You have overall responsibility for the operations' quality, goal achievement, finances, personnel, and work environment, where you lead, plan, and follow up on operations within your area of responsibility. You work both strategically and operatively and have great opportunities to influence the continued development of operations. You are part of the management group for the operations area Individual and Family Care as well as Disability Support Services, where you work together with colleagues to develop operations based on common goals and future needs. As a unit manager, you are also expected to: • Have a good understanding of the social services mandate and experience in the field of disability support. • Be a clear, secure, and present leader who creates trust, makes decisions, and at the same time promotes participation and engagement. • Have the ability to utilize employees' competence and create conditions for development, collaboration, and job satisfaction. • Work goal and result oriented with a focus on quality and operations development. • Have good financial understanding and use the operations' resources in a responsible and efficient manner. • Have good knowledge of relevant laws, agreements, regulations, and governance documents. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who is a secure and experienced leader with a good ability to translate goals into results. You have a holistic perspective, are analytical and structured, and have the ability to plan, follow up, and develop operations based on both the operations' needs and future challenges. Experience of similar management assignments within disability support services is a merit. You have an academic degree in social care or another field that the employer deems equivalent. It is a merit if you have experience of pedagogical work and supervision within disability support services including methods such as clarity pedagogy, low-affect interaction, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) as well as previous management experience of work within LSS operations, preferably with adults within target group 1, 2, and 3. As a leader, you are clear, communicative, and relationship-building. You create engagement and participation by involving your employees and giving them the conditions to develop and take responsibility. You work in a structured manner, prioritize effectively, and ensure that operations achieve set goals. You have good knowledge of relevant laws, governance documents, and guidelines as well as the ability to create understanding of and motivation regarding the disability support and social services mandate. We place great importance on your personal qualities and would like to see that you are a person who has a positive approach, is open, outgoing, creative, receptive, solution-oriented, and has good collaboration skills. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Before employment, an extract from the criminal record register must be presented as well as documentation proving that you are allowed to work on the Swedish labor market. For example, a certificate of Swedish/EU/EES citizenship (such as a passport), a certificate of residence permit, or a work permit certificate to work in Sweden. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: According to agreement. Interviews are planned to be conducted on Friday, August 7, and Monday, August 10. Salary setting is based on a comprehensive assessment of the position's requirements and responsibilities, educational background, relevant experience, personal suitability, and current salary level for corresponding or equivalent positions and prevailing market conditions.
