Your Assignment As a unit manager in home care services within the Welfare sector, you have an operational leadership role where you work with areas concerning work environment, finances, and planning at the unit. A large part of the work involves being able to lead through others, which is why it is important that you can delegate tasks. You are responsible for operations and work management to, together with your colleagues, make a difference for people in Söderhamn Municipality. Since operations and target groups often change, it is important that you can adapt yourself and the unit's resources to existing needs. In parts of the administrative work, you will have support in the form of a team coordinator. The work requires collaboration with other professional categories around the service user, such as nurses, rehabilitation specialists, case managers, and others. Description of the Workplace We provide home care services throughout the municipality, and the eight home care units form the core of operations and are responsible for delivering services in service users' own homes. The work is characterized by: - Close care where staff meet service users daily in their everyday lives. - A holistic perspective with focus on both practical services and social support. - Independence and responsibility where each unit plans and carries out its work based on local needs. - From March 1st, large parts of home care services have transitioned to IUB (services without needs assessment), which means we are on a very exciting development journey, building the bridge as we walk on it. Each unit has its own work team and management, which creates good conditions for: - Continuity for service users - Close leadership - Strong team spirit - Person-centered and preventive work approach It is important to point out that we help each other across unit boundaries when needed. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or other higher education that the employer considers equivalent and that has provided you with good knowledge of social law and social work. As a person, you are confident in your professional role and can independently make decisions and act based on professional assessments. You have good interpersonal skills and find it easy to establish trusting relationships. Since the work involves many contact points, it is important that you cooperate well with others, communicate clearly, and contribute to constructive solutions even in challenging situations. You are organized and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently while being able to handle change and meet set deadlines. You also have the ability to create motivation, engagement, and participation and can clearly articulate overarching goals and expectations regarding your and the unit's assignment. A driver's license is required for this position, as are good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Previous experience working in municipal operations is a merit.
