The Service Department is tasked with providing high-quality services to Ale Municipality's core operations in a professional and resource-efficient manner. Through our work, we ensure that the municipality's care homes, schools, and preschools receive nutritious, safe, and varied meals. In Ale, we strive to cook from scratch, use Swedish ingredients, and make climate-smart choices. In total, Food Services consists of approximately 90 employees and about 32 kitchens. We are now looking for a committed and service-oriented meal service assistant in Food Services. Job Responsibilities As a meal service assistant, your responsibilities include preparing and serving breakfast, lunch/dinner, and snacks with a service-oriented approach. Ordering, planning, dishwashing, cleaning, self-inspections, and more are part of daily work. Good teamwork skills, flexibility, and a strong sense of service are important qualities. As a pool meal service assistant, you're a member of our important pool team who fills the gap during absences. You'll work across all of Ale Municipality's kitchens, from our youngest guests at preschool to seniors at our care homes. This means you must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. In our kitchens, we work with seasonal menus and actively work to reduce food waste. Qualifications You have upper secondary education with a focus on meal service or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have kitchen experience and naturally have our guests in focus. Good teamwork skills and a strong sense of service are important qualities. The work requires high flexibility as you'll work at multiple locations. You are solution-oriented, can plan your day, and are self-driven. You are positive, have a strong service orientation, and enjoy delivering quality. You have experience preparing and serving simple kitchen tasks in large-scale kitchens such as cooking potatoes, rice, pasta, porridge, and preparing salads, etc. You have experience preparing and serving special diets. You have knowledge of self-inspection, food safety, and its documentation. You have basic computer skills. You need to speak and write Swedish well. The position involves reading and following recipes, reading and understanding emails, reading routines and instructions, and communicating with colleagues, clients, and guests. A B driver's license is desirable. Work is scheduled during daytime hours on weekdays. Other Information A work trial may be part of the selection process. Start date by agreement.
