DUTIES As a Student Coordinator at Sjöängsskolan, you will work to strengthen the school's student welfare efforts with a focus on promoting attendance for all our students. In this role, you will guide, support, and handle conflicts. You will lead conversations with guardians, teachers, and students. You work closely with social services, which may involve structured activities with students and guardians, and can include home visits. You interact with students and create a sense of security through strong relationships. You collaborate with the school's other staff to ensure that students thrive at school and develop toward the curriculum's goals—both value-based and knowledge-based goals. You contribute to creating the best conditions for our students' learning and to ensure they succeed in school and attend lessons. You drive the school's work on values, measures against harassment and antisocial behavior. This strengthens the school's efforts regarding safety and study environment. You create conditions for student and staff participation in this work. Your assignment, which is tailored to needs, will be developed together with the principal. QUALIFICATIONS You must have an academic degree as a teacher, social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working in a school. If you have experience with motivational conversations, solution-focused work, and leading group activities, that is a merit. You are an important adult for our students—a calm and trustworthy person with understanding that all students have different conditions and learn in different ways. You also understand the assignment and the importance of building relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You demonstrate great commitment in your role and want to work with us to give our young people a safe school experience. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. The position requires a Class B driver's license, with access to a personal vehicle being preferred. The position will be filled pending required decisions. Salary form: Monthly salary.
