Your Role with Us As a student assistant, you work to help and stimulate students in need of special support for learning, development, and independence both individually and in groups with a low-affect approach. The work involves creating a safe environment and framework for students with a focus on studies and opportunities to develop cooperation and relationships at school. The work is carried out on behalf of the responsible teacher based on the current curriculum. You support students throughout the school day both in the classroom and during breaks and in the after-school program, during meal and hygiene situations, and during other activities. The work requires constant attention, analysis, and understanding of situations both inside and outside the classroom. In close collaboration with teachers and other student assistants, you strive to find individual solutions so that each student can benefit from instruction in the best way possible. Understanding each other's professional roles is of utmost importance. Contact and collaboration with guardians is an important part of the work, as well as active participation in the workplace's development and taking responsibility for your own professional development. The work can be physically demanding and psychologically challenging. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for you who have one of the following qualifications: High school diploma from the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on pedagogical and social work Passed the vocational package Student Assistant in adult education or equivalent student assistant training from a folk high school Diploma/passed from equivalent training that the employer deems sufficiently comprehensive in pedagogy and children's development and learning. Meets part of the educational requirements and has at least three years of work experience as a student assistant We want you to have documented experience as a student assistant and be able to meet school-aged children. You need to be responsive to the student's needs, and it is an advantage if you have previously worked with students with NPF. You need to be able to choose approaches within the pedagogical methods and techniques the school uses. We also want you to have the ability to motivate, enthuse, and stimulate students in their development and have a good ability to meet school-aged children. You are a patient, balanced, and stable person with a professional approach and can handle situations that arise in a safe and calm manner, which means we would appreciate it if you have knowledge of low-affect approaches. To succeed in your role as a student assistant, it is important that you can take responsibility but also have empathetic ability and can cooperate. Since the work can be physically demanding, you need to be in good physical condition. For us to consider your application, you must attach certificates/grades from your completed education. About Us Fjälkinge School is a grades F-9 school one mile northeast of Kristianstad. The school works closely with the local community and businesses in the area. In grades 7-9, the school operates a football academy in cooperation with Malmö FF. Our school has approximately 500 students. The school is located in three different buildings. The schoolyard invites various activities with its natural vegetation of bushes and trees. There are also playgrounds, football fields, and a basketball court. Within walking and biking distance are Fjälkinge Hill, Lilles Hill, and the scenic Kjugekull.
