Skurup Municipality is the place for the good life. Skurup Municipality's adapted primary school is a newly established operation that in fall 2026 will move into its own facilities. Here we will teach approximately 20 students in grades 1–9 within subject-based adapted primary education. Our team consists of special education teachers, student assistants, and leisure-time pedagogues - all with a common goal: to create an accessible, individualized, and inspiring learning environment where each student has the opportunity to grow according to their abilities. Our school is a newly opened initiative with state-of-the-art facilities, adapted learning environments, and a strong focus on inclusive teaching. We work across subjects and with clear structure to create safety and learning for students with various functional variations. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a student assistant in adapted primary education within grades 7–9 and the after-school program, you will: • Support students in instruction, during breaks, in the after-school program, and during transitions throughout the day. • Actively participate in all types of teaching, including swimming and physical education, as well as cycling on field trips. • Be responsive, read and follow students' needs in the moment. • Handle challenging behavior with a low-affect approach. • When needed, act as a communication bridge between student and surroundings during school and after-school activities. • Help and support with personal care such as toilet visits, dressing and undressing, meal situations, which may include lifting students. • Perform self-care tasks that may include administering emergency medication, feeding via tube, and managing catheters. • Work closely with teachers and the student support team to create safety and continuity. • Contribute to students feeling seen, included, and motivated. • Participate in planning, documentation, and evaluation of pedagogical work. • Collaborate with colleagues in daily work regarding students' needs. • Work for good collaboration between school, after-school program, and home. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who • Has education as a childcare worker, student assistant, support pedagogue, or equivalent education. • Enjoys spending a lot of time outdoors with an individual student, being responsive, and conducting learning simultaneously. • Has experience working with children and youth with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as competence in AAC. • Has previous experience with self-care and personal hygiene assistance. • Has good ability to build relationships and work with a low-affect approach. • Is structured, responsible, and confident in your professional role. • Has experience working with instruction in school and after-school programs. • Can document, plan, and evaluate together with pedagogues. • Has interest in building and collaborating with colleagues in a team. • Wants to help build an operation where every student has the opportunity to succeed. • Experience working in adapted primary education is highly meritorious. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: Start date: 2026-08-03, End date: 2027-06-15. Work hours: Daytime.
