The school also houses the municipality's adapted primary school. The school is beautifully situated near a lake and forest with an inspiring outdoor environment. It is possible to travel to and from school by public transportation. Approximately 500 students attend the school. The school has a principal and two assistant principals. Staff are organized into different teams and grade groups led by the school's team leaders and senior teachers. DUTIES Do you want to make a real difference in our students' daily lives? We are now seeking an engaged and confident student assistant for our adapted primary school. About the position As a student assistant, you will work closely with one or more students with individual needs and disabilities. You will support the student in both learning and social development throughout the school day and during after-school hours, in close collaboration with teachers and other staff. Duties Support student in instruction and daily activities Adapt activities based on the student's needs and abilities Work systematically with communication and clarifying pedagogy Collaborate with educators, student support services, and guardians QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you if you: Have experience working with students with individual disabilities Have knowledge of and preferably practical experience with TAKK (Sign as Alternative and Augmentative Communication) Are confident, attentive, and have a low-affect approach Have good collaboration skills and are flexible in your work style Meritorious: Experience from an adapted primary school or similar setting Pedagogical education or student assistant training Personal qualities You are engaged, responsible, and have a genuine interest in working with children and young people in need of special support.
