We are now looking for an environmental engineer who wants to help develop our operations with a focus on district heating, water and wastewater, and waste management. At Eksjö Energi AB, you will work in operations that are essential to residents' daily lives—from clean drinking water and functioning wastewater systems to climate-smart district heating and sustainable waste management. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for an environmental engineer who wants to take a key role in our environmental and sustainability efforts. As an environmental engineer with us, you will have a central role in ensuring that our operations meet applicable environmental requirements and contribute to the company's sustainability goals. You will work both strategically and operatively, close to the operations and with many internal and external contacts. Your main responsibilities: • Ensure compliance with environmental legislation • Work with self-monitoring, follow-up and reporting • Drive and develop environmental and sustainability work within the operations • Coordinate environmental and sustainability issues for all operations • Be a contact person with regulatory authorities • Participate in or lead projects within environment, sustainability and quality • Develop routines and working methods related to environmental and sustainability work • Participate and represent environmental and sustainability work in each operation's industry organization. QUALIFICATIONS University or college degree in environmental and/or sustainability or equivalent. Experience with environmental work in industry, energy, water and wastewater or similar field. Good knowledge of the Environmental Code and relevant legislation. Experience with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001). Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. Class B driver's license. Type of Employment: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent.
