We are seeking an experienced economics assistant on a part-time basis for the Finance Unit. We offer you a stimulating position in a pleasant work group of 12 colleagues with varied tasks. The position is located in the Finance Unit, which is characterized by strong cohesion and an open work environment. Job Description As an economics assistant, you will work closely with both the operations and other personnel in the Finance Unit. The work includes handling both customer invoices, supplier invoices, other bookkeeping, and reconciliations. We handle all invoices for the municipality, and tasks rotate within the team. A particular focus is to improve processes and digital workflows. Qualifications We are looking for someone with at least high school level economics education. You also have experience working with both customer and supplier accounts, as well as ongoing bookkeeping and reconciliations. You have several years of experience as an economics assistant in a municipality, which means you can identify how our processes can be streamlined and improved both for users throughout the organization and for us in the Finance Unit. We work with the Unit4 accounting system (formerly Agresso), and as a complement for water and sewage invoicing, EDP Future, as well as the decision support system Hypergene. It is beneficial if you have experience especially with Unit4. To meet the needs of our municipality's operations, it is helpful if you find it easy to build new relationships. You listen and understand, and can put yourself in others' situations. You can plan and organize your work efficiently and ensure that your tasks are completed within the allocated time. Since work rotates among the economics assistants, you can receive and hand over information so you can continue handling matters that another colleague started, and so others can take over matters you have started. You can handle work peaks and maintain a good attitude even when there is a lot to do. You can see when we are working in overly complex ways and can suggest changes to improve things both for the unit and for the organization as a whole. You ensure that you stay updated on knowledge regarding both systems and accounting matters needed to solve work tasks more smoothly.
