Your role as an economist As an economist with us, you work with qualified accounting matters and contribute to ensuring correct and quality-assured financial management within the administration. In the role, you work with ongoing accounting, including bookkeeping, corrections and transfers, invoice management, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. You participate in the work with interim and annual financial statements and contribute to ensuring that the accounting complies with applicable legislation, recommendations, and internal guidelines. You also work with the administration's fixed assets register, account summaries, and statistical reporting to SCB. The position includes conducting financial investigations and analyses and preparing documentation for various types of follow-ups and reporting. An important part of the assignment is to contribute to the development and improvement of financial and accounting processes. You continuously work to identify areas for improvement, quality-assure procedures, and contribute to efficient financial administration. You are part of a team of economists and collaborate closely with colleagues within both the administration and the municipality. The role also involves supporting the operations on financial matters based on your economic expertise and contributing analyses, investigations, and decision-making materials as needed. Your profile To succeed in the role, you are structured, thorough, and quality-conscious. You have an analytical approach and thrive working with both details and the bigger picture. You plan and prioritize your work efficiently and have the ability to handle multiple parallel tasks. You have good collaboration skills and can communicate financial matters in a clear and professional manner. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing and have very good computer skills. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
