Personal Assistant to a Young Girl Do you want meaningful work where you make a real difference – every day? We are now seeking several personal assistants for a new support team caring for a cheerful, charming, and security-seeking 2-year-old girl who lives with her family and dog in Svenljunga. This is a role for someone who wants to work closely with a child and her family, with warmth, responsibility, and professionalism. As a personal assistant, you will become a very important part of the girl's everyday life and contribute to her sense of security, development, joy, and quality of life. At the same time, you will be working in the family's home, which means you need to have great respect for the family's privacy. You need to be active, present, and take initiative – but also have the sensitivity to know when the family needs to just be a family and when you as an assistant should take a step back. About the Girl The girl has cerebral palsy, uses a wheelchair, and has a PEG tube. She receives round-the-clock assistance and needs support in all aspects of her daily life. The work includes, among other things, helping with: care and nursing tube feeding/PEG hygiene activities and play communication transfers security and support in all daily tasks You will work closely with both the girl and her family and be an important person in her life. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is secure, warm, and responsible with a genuine interest in working with children. You have a pedagogical approach, are attentive and empathetic, and have a natural ability to adapt to the child's and family's needs. You need to be professional in your role, but at the same time friendly, gentle, and considerate. You understand the importance of routines, clear communication, and good cooperation – with the family, colleagues, and other important contacts around the girl. Requirements To be suitable for this position, you need to meet the following requirements: You are a woman, given the nature of the work and close personal care You have a driver's license and access to a car You speak and write fluent Swedish You are a non-smoker You are not afraid of dogs or allergic to pet hair, as there is a dog in the home You have good collaboration skills You can work professionally in a family's home You can take your own initiative while also following routines and instructions Swedish language proficiency is particularly important because in this role you need to be able to communicate clearly, report accurately, and absorb information. You may also have contact with healthcare, rehabilitation, doctors, authorities, and other important organizations around the girl. Merit Factors It is advantageous if you have: experience working with children experience from preschool, school, or childcare children of your own experience in personal assistance experience with PEG/tube feeding experience working with people with disabilities experience with alternative communication or visual teaching methods Personal suitability carries significant weight in this recruitment. Work Hours Assistance is provided during day, evening, and awake night shifts. Work hours are: Day shift: 08.00–15.00 Evening shift: 15.00–22.00 Awake night: 22.00–08.00 Night staff work nights only. For day and evening shifts, there is the possibility of working both day and evening or just one of these times. Positions begin as hourly temporary contracts, with the goal of transitioning to permanent positions for the right candidates once the support system is established and collaboration works well for the customer, family, and support team.
