Skurups municipality's water and wastewater operations include drinking water production, while wastewater treatment is carried out in collaboration with neighboring municipalities Ystad and Trelleborg. The municipality is a co-owner of Sydvatten AB and receives part of its drinking water supply through regional cooperation. The municipality manages distribution facilities in-house. Operation of the distribution network is primarily handled with the help of an operations contractor. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for someone interested in developing and improving the municipality's water and wastewater facilities. You will be part of a small team with close collaboration. We help each other across boundaries and take advantage of each other's specialized knowledge in an unpretentious work environment. The work will primarily involve ongoing work with our distribution network. It will include tasks such as: · Continuous monitoring, operation, and maintenance of the distribution network · Management, repairs, and maintenance of lines in cooperation with a contractor · Water meter replacements · Documentation of facilities · Monitoring (SCADA systems) · Participation in investigations and projects · Contact with customers On-call duty is included in the position. On-call duty includes remedying faults in the distribution network, facilities, and other urgent matters in the municipality's installations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is calm, reliable, and organized. You work carefully, have a strong focus on quality, and take responsibility for your tasks from start to finish. You plan, prioritize, and follow up on your work independently. You enjoy both working independently and collaborating with others. As a person, you are relationship-building, communicative, and collaboration-oriented. You have a good ability to take initiative and actively contribute to improving work methods, routines, and quality in the operations. You see the value of documenting and quality-assuring your work and ensure that tasks are performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and requirements. We would like you to have technical education with a focus on water and wastewater, or alternatively other practical experience considered equivalent, such as pipe fitter for underground piping. You have knowledge of piping materials, pumps, valves, meters, and pump technology, controls, and regulations, etc. It is seen as positive if you have education in drinking water and drinking water hygiene, preferably one of Svenskt Vatten's diploma programs in drinking water technology. The position includes on-call duty, which means you need to be able to arrive within 30 minutes. We would therefore prefer that you live in or near the municipality. You have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, good computer skills, and a valid Class B driver's license. Skurups water and wastewater organization is small, which requires you to be self-driven, flexible, and responsible. You have a positive attitude toward new tasks and are accustomed to taking initiative when needed. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent position. Working hours: Daytime. Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-13:30. On-call duty is included in the position.
