In parts of our municipality, we have heating systems that we operate using bio pellets. These systems require monitoring, and in our municipality, this is primarily handled by two operations technicians with a focus on boiler operation. The Role of Operations Technician (Boiler Operator) with Us You will join our operations organization with operations technicians, facility managers, building technicians, and project managers who work on operating and optimizing, as well as maintaining the municipality's properties. We work to meet regulatory requirements and the needs of our operations. We use computerized control and monitoring systems. Your daily tasks will include supervision, operation, and maintenance of our heating systems. You will also work on addressing problems reported by customers through our case management system, analyzing and addressing operational alarms, monitoring other technical systems, and maintaining contact with contractors and suppliers. Maintenance rounds of technical systems are also part of the role. Your Profile As a person, you are independent, service-oriented, solution-focused, and organized. You find it easy to prioritize between tasks and collaborate with colleagues, operations, and external parties. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who has: - Documented knowledge for monitoring boilers in class B according to AFS 2023:11, 10 chapter 30 § and appendix 8. - Experience operating and maintaining solid fuel boilers, such as pellet systems. - Knowledge of piping and ventilation systems and the ability to work with computerized control and monitoring systems. - B-class driver's license It is meritorious if you have: - Electrical authority certification - Certification/course certificate for boiler operator class B More About Us in Facilities The Facilities department's mission is to meet the municipality's total facility needs. We manage approximately 500,000 square meters of owned and leased facilities that are rented internally to various operations within the municipality. We work with lease administration, facility operation and maintenance, emergency and planned maintenance, and facility management services. Kungsbacka Municipality has ambitious goals for fossil-free heating of our facilities and reduced energy consumption in the municipality's premises.
