Description We are now looking for an operations technician in water and wastewater (VA) who wants to be part of providing excellent service to our municipal residents. (As an operations technician, you will work with the operation of the pipeline network in the municipality). You will become part of our VA team and work together with colleagues in operating the municipality's pipeline network. The work includes both planned maintenance and emergency interventions, such as repairs and other field operational tasks. You are also responsible for documentation and follow-up and provide important support to the municipal infrastructure activities. Your main placement will be at the treatment plant, but a large part of the work takes place out in the field with the team. On the operations unit, we currently have a team of ten colleagues working with operations in the municipality. In the small municipality, the work tasks are varied and we help each other to create a safe and well-functioning environment for our municipal residents. Work Tasks Your work tasks will include: Contribute to the development and digitalization of management support systems Manage renewal and maintenance of the pipeline network, such as valve operation, fire hydrant inspections, maintenance flushing, periodic inspections, pipeline filming, etc. Complement GIS data regarding pipeline networks and related documentation in programs such as Geosecma and ArcMap. Provide support to municipal infrastructure activities in connection with development of new areas. Perform construction work together with an excavator operator. Assist with other tasks within the operations unit. As an employee in the VA operations, your main placement will be at the treatment plant. Over time and through skills development, you will also work at the water treatment plant. On-call duty is included in the position. Qualifications We are looking for someone with education in VA and/or pipeline network technology, or alternatively other experience that we consider equivalent. You also have experience in construction work. A driver's license (Class B) is required for the position. Knowledge of Geosecma and/or ArcMap is a merit. You are a thorough, proactive, and service-oriented person with excellent interpersonal skills with both customers and colleagues.
