Your Assignment With us you will work in close collaboration with all professions at the primary care center. Your work tasks consist of clinic work with acute and planned visits aimed primarily at elderly patients. You will be responsible for a nursing home and will be responsible for home care services and conduct home visits with the municipality's nurses. We have good routines and excellent cooperation with the municipality. The position also includes supervision of medical students and junior doctors (AT/ST physicians) as well as some on-call duties. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with specialist qualifications in general medicine or geriatrics, with Swedish medical licensure and strong ability to communicate in Swedish both verbally and in writing. You enjoy working together with other professions close to the patient and would like to contribute to the development of the operation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Our Operations Östervåla is located in beautiful agricultural and forest countryside in Heby Municipality northwest of Uppsala. The primary care center has 31 dedicated employees consisting of physicians, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, physical therapist, dietitian, psychologist, and social worker. We serve 6,300 registered patients. The operation also includes the district nurse clinic in Tärnsjö. We work based on the patient perspective and place strong emphasis on quality and patient safety.
