Welcome to Grums Health Center! Here you will work at a stable and well-organized health center of appropriate size, approximately 20 minutes from Karlstad. We have functioning structures, good collaboration between professional groups, and a shared focus on quality in daily operations. Your Workplace Grums Health Center has approximately 7,000 registered patients and is operated by Region Värmland. The health center is part of the Southern Karlstad operational area, consisting of the health centers Gripen, Grums, Skoghall, Tullholmen, Västerstrand, our digital unit Värmland Health Center, and the Karlstad emergency clinic. The health center is staffed by approximately 20 employees in the professional categories of specialist physicians, resident doctors, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, psychologist, foot care therapists, and unit manager. In addition to physician consultations, the health center offers counseling services, nursing assistant consultations, foot care consultations, and nurse consultations, including services for diabetes, asthma/COPD, heart failure, and dementia. We also provide physician resources to maternal/child health services, home care, short-term care, disability services (LSS), and elderly care facilities. Over the past years, we have deliberately developed our work methods, routines, and medical quality – with excellent results. Today we have well-functioning workflows, controlled waiting lists, and a structure that creates predictability in daily operations. Our work method is based on continuity where patients are distributed according to birth date. This gives you a clear overview of your patient group and creates good conditions for long-term patient relationships. Your Responsibilities You will become part of an engaged and stable physician team where work environment and sustainability are in focus. With us, you have good opportunities to influence your schedule and your work hours, provided that you take responsibility for your registered patients. In our daily team rounds, you actively participate in medical prioritization and decide together with colleagues which of your patients need physician assessment. This work method contributes to efficient resource utilization and high medical quality. We also offer the opportunity for digital consultations and some remote work, based on operational needs and your preferences. We have an open work environment where it is natural to discuss medical questions and support each other, both within the physician group and together with other professional categories. For those interested in geriatric care, there is an opportunity to work as a geriatric physician, where you work exclusively with elderly patients and are responsible for municipal patients in special housing, disability services (LSS), short-term care, and home care. The role involves close collaboration with the municipality and a shared focus on creating safe, cohesive, and quality care for the most vulnerable patients. There is an established and highly appreciated work method that we would be happy to present in more detail if you are interested. Today the physician group consists of four district doctors and one resident doctor. Now we are further strengthening the team and are looking for you to join us in continuing to develop the operations. Your Knowledge and Competence We are looking for someone who is a specialist in general medicine and who values close patient contact and high medical quality. You have an interest in development and improvement work and are happy to contribute to the organization's continued development. Since travel is part of the position, you need to have a category B driver's license. As a person, you are confident, responsible, and well-organized. You have a good ability to plan your work independently while appreciating teamwork and collegial dialogue. You place the patient at the center and work for safe, accessible, and equitable care.
