Heby Health Center Our 1,800 employees work with primary care and health in Uppsala Region. We offer a broad range of services within primary healthcare. Our patients visit us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within rehabilitation services, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. Now there is a unique opportunity to be part of our initiative where we are hiring more district physicians for Heby Health Center with the aim of offering 1,100 listed patients per full-time district physician already in 2026. Your tasks will include clinic work with excellent opportunities for other stimulating assignments such as mentoring BT/AT/ST physicians and responsibility for various clinical processes based on your interests. As part of your work you will contribute to developing our operations, and you will have good opportunities to influence work schedules and appointment booking, giving you the ability to shape your work environment. Your role will also include some on-call/standby duty as is the case throughout primary care in Region Uppsala. Your Competence We are looking for a physician with specialist competence in general medicine with Swedish medical license and good ability to communicate in Swedish both orally and in writing. Since we are now at a stage where we have great opportunities to develop our operations, it is meritious if you have an interest in healthcare development with patients and patient flows in focus. It is also valuable if you appreciate working in teams with other professions around patients to create efficient workflows. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. Our Operations Heby Health Center belongs to the Primary Care and Health Department, Region Uppsala, and is located in western Uppland with approximately 7,000 listed patients and 30 employees working in teams. Our operations are broad and all professional areas within the health center's mandate are represented. We also have a youth clinic. At Heby Health Center we work to maintain a good work environment with "room to breathe" and satisfied patients. We collaborate closely between all professions and a key principle is "freedom with responsibility" where you have great opportunity to influence your work situation as long as operational goals are met. The broad variety of patients creates a stimulating and developmental workplace. We have diabetes, asthma/COPD, and heart failure nurses with their own clinics, a geriatric clinic, and a district nurse working with hypertension patients. We also conduct targeted health conversations for 40-year-olds. With us you will have a patient list with a maximum of 1,100 patients. We have physician meetings every week where we prioritize professional development and collegial collaboration. The management team consists of the operations manager, group manager, and MLA.
