JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Culture School's vision is to create good quality of life for residents in Malung-Sälen with a focus on children and youth. Through culture, we strengthen our students as individuals. The Culture School contributes to a broad and rich cultural life in Malung-Sälen. Here, children, young people, and adults have the opportunity to develop and deepen their engagement in richer cultural pursuits. We also have excellent collaboration with community organizations and private actors. We are now seeking a new colleague as a dance teacher. Since dance is significant in Malung-Sälen municipality, we currently have four dance teachers and need one more to cover one day per week as it stands now. Dance at the Culture School in Malung-Sälen municipality is very popular with approximately 300 students ranging from age 4 through adulthood. We work with age and level-appropriate groups. Teaching takes place in afternoons and evenings. Our students experience Children's Dance, Jazz, Street, Line Dance, and Swing. Each year we conclude the school year with a spectacular dance show where our students perform and you as a teacher are an important part. The dance show is attended by just over 1,500 people annually. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with a dance pedagogy degree from a university or other education/experience that we consider equivalent. To be a good fit for the position, you have: • a strong pedagogical interest and are skilled at inspiring children and youth. • initiative, drive, and experience working independently. • good thorough knowledge or skills in different dance styles. • an approach that includes the individual based on a child perspective. You are ambitious and have good ability to collaborate with other teachers, educators, and your manager. Salary range: The salary for the position is currently within the range of 31,400-35,100 kronor per month, based on 2025 salary levels. We apply individual and differentiated salary setting.
