The Workplace As one of our employees moves forward, we now have the opportunity to welcome a new colleague to the finance department at Karlsborg Municipality. You will work centrally as a controller in the finance department and be part of collaborative work within a broad area of responsibility, where we together drive and develop the department's mission. Your Responsibilities The position is located at the municipal office and reports directly to the Finance Manager. The work is conducted in close collaboration with the Social Services Manager and other managers within the social services administration. Your main responsibilities will be to: work with the budget process and monitor the current year's budget. work across the administration to support the operations managers. coordinate the administration's work with government grants and statistics. work with operational planning, development, and follow-up in your role as controller. under the guidance of the Finance Manager, develop and manage financial planning, forecasts, operational plans, budgets, and financial statements. prepare decision-making materials and present to the political bodies. work as an operations-focused user specialist for a module in the financial system (Unit4) and participate in a module group for Ö9, which is a collaboration with 9 other municipalities in eastern Skaraborg. handle other common tasks in the finance department. Your Profile We are looking for someone with higher education in economics and/or experience in similar work that the employer considers sufficient. Knowledge of the laws governing the operations is an asset. You should also have good IT skills, the ability to work independently, in a structured and organized manner, and be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. You are a driven, analytical, and responsible person with the ability to build good relationships. We place great importance on personal suitability.
