We at Bofors Test Center are now seeking both measurement technicians and measurement engineers for our operations in Karlskoga. Here you will get a practical and technically advanced role where you become an important part of conducting tests and measurements within our testing operations. The work is conducted in a unique environment at one of Europe's largest shooting ranges, where advanced testing, technology, and safety are in focus. Your Future Challenge As a measurement technician or measurement engineer, you will become part of a dynamic team within the Measurement, Photo & Environmental Lab department. The group currently consists of about 30 employees, including other measurement technicians, measurement engineers, photographers, and environmental durability engineers. In both roles, you work practically and administratively with various tests and projects, where you are involved throughout the entire process, from preparation through execution and follow-up work. The work includes, among other things, rigging and handling of measuring equipment at test sites, conducting various types of measurements, and quality control and compilation of measurement data. The measurements consist of recording physical quantities during testing, for example in internal and external ballistics. Examples of various measurements may include: Velocity and flight times for projectiles. Pressure measurements in weapon systems. Sound pressure from detonations. As a measurement engineer, you will also take on more advanced measuring systems, including systems for tracking projectile trajectories both visually and with radar. Over time, you will gain expanded responsibility, including some budget responsibility within an area. The role also involves greater technical and analytical responsibility where you will work with developing and improving measurement and testing methods. Your Background: We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest who enjoys combining practical field work with administrative tasks. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and would like to see that you are responsible, meticulous, and have good collaboration skills. To succeed in the role, we see that you have high safety awareness, are proactive, and have the ability to independently drive work forward. For the measurement technician role, we see that you have technical education or relevant work experience in technology or measurement. For the measurement engineer role, engineering degree or other engineering education with a good understanding of technical and physical processes is required. It is an advantage if you have experience with similar tasks or work with technical measuring systems and drones.
