We are now seeking a stable and mature residential care worker with excellent interpersonal skills for our LSS operations, currently based at Måsen group home. Welcome to apply! The Workplace Måsen group home has six spaces and is located in Rundvik, Nordmalings Municipality. Residents living in the group home are part of the LSS target group. All have varying functional abilities and different support needs. The staff team consists of employees working day/evening/weekend and night shifts. Full-time employment is the norm in our LSS operations, which means employees need to be able to work flexibly, ideally across all times of day and at multiple work locations with so-called resource shifts. The Role and Tasks Duties include, among other things, personal care and delegated tasks from the municipality's health and social care unit. The work demands great patience and the ability to see consequences as well as the ability to interpret and clarify residents' communication. We also work to provide residents with an active leisure time, so daily outdoor activities and accompanying residents to various activities are part of the staff's responsibilities. Your Profile To work as a residential care worker, you must be a trained nursing assistant, childcare worker, or have other education or experience deemed equivalent. In order to communicate with residents, write and access health/social documentation, and receive medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You also need a B driver's license. Experience working with residents who have functional variations and mental health diagnoses is a merit, as is knowledge and experience of working with low-affective communication approaches. AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is a merit since residents use visual supports in their daily lives. The work may also require you to handle threatening behavior or violent situations, which requires that you are calm, stable, able to make decisions and maintain focus under pressure, and can treat individuals with respect even in challenging situations. Experience with similar situations is a merit. Your personality must match our residents' needs, so great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who: - is positive, patient, and confident, - has the ability to create calm and stability, - has good ability to work both independently and in a team, - is engaged and interested in working with residents' development based on their abilities and needs, - has good collaboration skills and sees possibilities instead of obstacles, - has no physical limitations since heavy lifting may occur. Interpersonal skills are the key to working with our residents in LSS. Personal maturity involves being able to see the consequences of your actions in a longer perspective before acting. You need to be stable and perceived as consistent regardless of context and social demands. Our residents' cognitive abilities vary, and they need guidance in daily life and to feel secure. Our residents also need staff who, in a pedagogical way, demonstrate and guide them and make everyday life comprehensible. Working alone can sometimes occur at the workplace, which means you yourself are responsible for structuring, planning, and organizing the day's tasks. This requires that you are self-motivated and have good ability to handle and solve problems that arise. As a staff member at a group home, you are part of a work team, which places demands on your ability to collaborate and build good relationships with colleagues. In your work, you also have contact with health and medical personnel, legal guardians, family members, and day activities. Therefore, it is important that you are service-oriented and have a good ability to create and maintain professional relationships. The residents' various functional differences require different degrees of patience and perseverance from you as staff. You also need to have empathetic ability and be able to put yourself in the residents' situation and understand how they feel, all in order to focus on the residents' well-being. Different situations require different approaches, which means you need to be both flexible and stable and stand firm in your actions. The certificate must be presented to the employer before employment begins to ensure the safety and security of our residents.
