Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are coordinated under the Regional Development Board. Vreta utbildningscentrum is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalunds utbildningscentrum is located in Norrköping, and Lunnevads folkhögskola is located between Vikingstad and Mantorp. At Vreta utbildningscentrum, the Natural Resource Management Program's specializations in agriculture, horse management and forestry are offered, as well as the Vehicle and Transport Program's transport specialization and the Vehicle and Transport Program's transport specialization for Professional Drivers and nationally recruiting transport specialization for Recovery Drivers. National Sports Education (NIU) is offered in equestrian sports (dressage or jumping). Vocational adult education and vocational higher education programs are available in agriculture, horse management and forestry. Adapted upper secondary school offers the national program Forest, Land and Animals. Job Description Are you interested and committed to working with young people and promoting an active leisure time? Then you should apply for the position of Residential/Recreation Staff at Vreta student residence. Being a trustworthy, stable, clear, solution-focused, and relationship-building person is important for the operation so that students have a safe and meaningful environment. We now have a permanent position available involving two nights and every other Sunday afternoon/evening. Night shifts are scheduled between 19:30-06:00 on Wednesday and Thursday nights and 15:00-22:00 on Sundays. We have awake staff during the night who must be able to work independently and be a reassuring presence for the students. There is the opportunity to take extra shifts during terms, for example when the school organizes activities such as Pasture Release and Open House. Staff are responsible together with the students for having a meaningful leisure time and offer activities throughout the term. There are also fixed activities such as riding, working in the workshop, youth center, homework help, various activities at Vreta Klosters sports hall and more. Since the majority of students are minors, good communication with guardians is essential. Work Group Recreation staff collaborate with other school personnel such as school management, mentors, teachers, meal staff and others to create a holistic perspective around each individual student. About You You have pedagogical or behavioral science education relevant to the assignment, such as leisure leader or recreation pedagogue. If you have experience or training in Coaching approach or Motivational Interviewing, that is a merit. Previous experience working with upper secondary students and upper secondary students with disabilities is something we consider important. A B-class driver's license is a requirement. If you have interest or experience in any of our specializations, we see that as an advantage but not a requirement. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. This means that you enjoy meeting young people and supporting and helping them during their leisure time. You have personal maturity and conduct yourself in a way that is adapted to the situation, and you have the ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation. You adapt easily to changed circumstances, are solution-focused and you see the possibilities in changes. You should be a good collaborative partner with students and colleagues and see the possibilities with good collaboration.
