As a new temporary substitute at Falun Municipality, you will be offered a four-day introductory training. The purpose is to give you good conditions for your summer job and to help you feel confident in your role. About the Job Workplaces within LSS and support and care can be in group or service housing, day activity centers, day care, social psychiatry, or home-based support services that start from individuals' homes. Within elderly care, you can work within home care, care and residential facilities, or short-term housing, where the focus may be on rehabilitation after hospital stays. Duties Personal care and daily support: Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and other daily routines. Practical tasks: Support with cleaning, laundry, cooking, and household shopping. Social support: Motivate participation in social activities and create meaningful leisure time. You work to combat loneliness and strengthen service users' well-being, both physically and mentally. Health-promoting work: Strengthen mental and physical health by providing support that contributes to a more independent life. Documentation and medication management: Document services and handle medicines according to delegation. Qualifications In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and your commitment to the position. You are patient, reliable, and take responsibility. With a calm and respectful manner, you listen to others' needs and adapt your work approach accordingly. Humility and understanding of different challenges are important in this role. As a person, you are responsible and flexible, with a service-oriented work approach and a positive attitude. It is important that you can work independently while also having good collaboration skills. The work involves documentation, which requires computer skills and proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. For this role, you must: Be at least 18 years old Have good computer and mobile device skills Have strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Be an EU citizen or have a valid residence and work permit Meritorious qualifications: Education or experience in healthcare, care, or social work Experience with delegated health and medical care tasks B-class driver's license and cycling skills (required for home care teams) Knowledge of MI (motivational interviewing) or low-intensity interaction approaches Terms of Employment During the summer, we offer time-limited employment for up to three months where you work according to a set schedule. Working hours vary and may include day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. To work within the care administration, you must meet the requirements to receive delegation for medication handling. This means you will read educational material, take tests, and participate in a review before a knowledge test. Therefore, it is important that you have a good ability to read, write, and understand Swedish.
