We are now seeking an Assistant Finance Director who wants to contribute to developing and ensuring quality in Karlshamn Municipality's financial operations. Job Responsibilities You work closely with the Finance Director, management, and operations teams to ensure that the municipality's resources are used efficiently, sustainably, and responsibly. You have a particular responsibility for leading and developing parts of the Finance Department's operations. In your role as Assistant Finance Director, you deputize for the Finance Director when she is not on-site and in certain specific contexts where appropriate. Your main responsibilities include: Managing the accounting and controller units with responsibility for operations, personnel, and work environment where 17 employees work Supporting the Finance Director in strategic and operational matters regarding financial management and operations development Coordinating budget, forecast, and follow-up processes for the municipality Ensuring quality, efficiency, and development in financial processes and routines Contributing to good internal controls and compliance with regulations, guidelines, and governing documents Preparing analyses, decision support materials, and reports for management, boards, and department heads Driving change and development initiatives within digitalization, working methods, and management models Providing qualified support to department heads and operations in financial matters Actively participating in the Finance Department's management group and contributing to the department's overall development Representing the Finance Department in internal networks, projects, and collaboration forums Requirements for the Position: University or college degree in Finance or Economics At least 10 years of experience in qualified financial work At least 5 years of experience in management or leadership roles with personnel and work environment responsibility Experience working in municipal or other public sector operations Very strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Good digital skills and experience working with financial systems and decision support tools Meritorious Qualifications: Experience in change management and operations development Experience leading other managers or specialist functions Knowledge of relevant operations systems Experience in process development, digitalization, or automation Personal Qualities: We are seeking a leader with the ability to switch between strategic thinking and operational execution. You have the ability to create clarity and in complex situations you are good at adapting your communication based on recipient and context. Through coaching and trust-based leadership, you build confidence and create engagement. You contribute to developing both operations and employees by delegating responsibility, following up on results, and creating good conditions for collaboration and learning. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities.
