A Role with Broad Responsibilities As a Computational Engineer, you will be part of a team of other computational engineers, mechanical designers, and project managers working together to implement improvements and investments in our high-tech production facility in Karlskrona. The work offers a stimulating and varied day-to-day experience where you follow projects from idea to production equipment. In the role, you participate in several different types of projects, with varying proportions of computational assignments. You also work closely with designers to verify mechanical strength according to applicable standards and guidelines. The Computational Engineer plays an important role and contributes expert knowledge and support to project managers, designers, and production technicians. Your responsibilities include: Strength calculations of structures Simulations using the finite element method Cable handling simulations Planning and optimizing computational assignments Order management Curious, Positive, and Meticulous To thrive in this role, you need to be curious, responsible, and have a solution-oriented approach to changes the department may face in daily work. In addition to the above, we want you to have the following experience: A degree in mechanical engineering or civil engineering with a focus on calculations is a requirement for the role. Knowledge and previous experience with mechanical design and calculation work according to Eurocode. Fluent Swedish and English in both speech and writing is a requirement. Basic knowledge of machine safety, AFS, and CE marking is advantageous. Previous experience with cable manufacturing and cable handling is also considered an advantage.
