JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Mönsterås Municipality seeks a companion to support individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will accompany a man living in Mönsterås to and from various activities and participate in leisure activities as specified in the assignment. Activities may include visits to the gym and swimming hall, as well as social outings such as going into town, watching a film, dining at a restaurant, or having coffee. You may also accompany him on hospital visits. It is important that you are willing to do these activities together to create a meaningful experience. QUALIFICATIONS We seek a man for a companion role to a man in Mönsterås. You should have stable family circumstances, be between 25 and 50 years old, and have a good ability to communicate in Swedish. It is important that you are social and want to support others, and that you are attentive to the individual's needs and experiences. You should also have an interest in social issues, exercise, and swimming. Previous experience in people-oriented professions and experience with various disabilities are merits. A fundamental view of humanity that respects everyone's equal worth and counteracts discrimination based on skin color, age, gender, or sexual orientation is essential. The assignment comprises four hours per week and can be carried out during daytime, evening, or weekends in consultation with the individual. Compensation is provided as an hourly wage, and as a companion, you always pay for your own expenses, such as coffee and entrance fees. However, you will be reimbursed by the municipality for your expenses upon presentation of a receipt, and wages are paid according to hours worked upon submission of a time report.
