The Swedish Prison and Probation Service (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. We have operations in Fjugesta, three miles west of Örebro, and a satellite unit in Granhult, three miles north of Lindesberg. The girls come to us because they have psychosocial problems as well as issues with criminality or drug abuse. Job Description As a treatment secretary at SiS Bergsmansgården Youth Home, you will have varied and exciting work. You are responsible for documentation and treatment planning in consultation with youth, social services, and other functions in the treatment team, such as psychologists, nurses, etc. In this role, you are expected to manage planning, contact with internal and external actors to advance the young people's cases toward an independent life after placement. You will also plan and lead the institutions' treatment committees and guide treatment staff toward care and treatment goals in daily work. This places high demands on independence, the ability to prioritize and drive processes forward. The position involves working in a team with other functions such as psychologists, teachers, treatment educators, and others. Qualifications The work places great demands on personal suitability, especially regarding how you treat others. You should have a genuine interest in treatment work, a firmly grounded positive view of people, and the ability to meet people in vulnerable situations while maintaining high security awareness. You must be flexible and prioritize work tasks as operations can shift quickly. Furthermore, you need the ability to work both independently and in groups. Competency Requirements: University degree of at least 210 credits in social/behavioral science, e.g., social work degree, or university degree of 180 credits in behavioral science, or other higher education that is deemed to meet SiS guidelines for competency requirements for coordinating/planning treatment work. Knowledge and experience with treatment work with youth. Class B driver's license is required. Merits: Previous work in compulsory care, investigations, and authority duties. Experience leading staff and processes. Knowledge of legislation within the Social Services Act and school operations. Experience collaborating with various authorities.
