Job Description SiS youth home Johannisberg is a maximum security institution beautifully located next to the Kalix River adjacent to the peaceful residential area of Grytnäs. The institution is in a development and expansion phase where work on increased staffing and security is ongoing. Our target group in Kalix is boys aged 16-21 placed according to the Act on Secure Youth Care and the Act on Care of Young People. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team on a unit together with competent colleagues who are looking forward to you becoming part of the team. As a treatment pedagogue, you are responsible together with your colleagues for ensuring that the young people living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. You are a support to the young people in their daily lives and work with qualified care and motivation work. Being a contact person is part of your duties. In daily work, you build trusting relationships and motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. With your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively contribute to ensuring that treatment plans and documentation are completed and that safety for both young people and staff is maintained according to our procedures. As a treatment pedagogue, you also contribute to making daily life run smoothly with schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has the ability to build trusting relationships with our young people. You have a positive view of humanity and your drive is to work with young people. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a professional approach even in pressured situations. You work well with other people and like to share your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other equivalent education. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.
