Job Description SiS youth home Johannisberg is an institution of the highest security class, beautifully located next to the Kalix River adjacent to the quiet residential area Grytnäs. The institution is in a development and expansion phase with ongoing work to increase staffing and security. Our target group in Kalix is boys aged 16-21 placed according to the Act on Closed Youth Care and the Act on Care of Young People. All work is guided by our core values of Respect, Care, and Clarity. You play an important role in providing stability for our young people and form the foundation of daily life including schooling, activities, cooking, and cleaning. As a treatment assistant, you also contribute to maintaining security at the institution according to our guidelines and procedures. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has the ability to build trusting relationships with our young people. You have a positive view of people and your drive is to work with young people. You share the vision of being a place for change. As a person, you relate to people in a responsive and flexible way, while being able to set boundaries and follow decisions that have been made. You are secure, stable, and able to maintain a professional approach even in pressured situations. You work well with other people and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. You must also have: At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education must be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.* Good Swedish in speech and writing Good physical ability *Exceptions to the requirement for at least a 2-year post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special grounds according to section 5, chapter 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468). A high school diploma and relevant work experience are required for exceptions to be granted.
