Together, we are at the forefront in many areas of municipal waste management and are responsible for delivering modern, sustainable, and forward-thinking waste management to approximately 130,000 residents. Job Description You will become part of an engaged team consisting of a waste management director and two waste management engineers. Together, you'll drive development in the waste management field forward. In your role as waste management officer and project manager, you'll hold a central position – both as support to your colleagues and as a specialist within your areas of responsibility, with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and driving projects forward. You will also have an important role in our unique collaboration, where your expertise and commitment contribute to better waste management in all four municipalities. We work broadly with waste management issues, which gives you excellent opportunities to develop your expertise and contribute to the future direction of operations. You'll work in a municipality in constant development, where the ambition is high regarding service, sustainability, and innovation. Who Are You? We're looking for someone who thrives in a role where order, structure, and quality are in focus. You have a well-developed ability to document cases in a clear, correct, and legally sound manner and ensure that routines and processes are followed and, if necessary, further developed. You have experience driving projects and are accustomed to coordinating larger efforts where multiple people, roles, and functions are involved. You take responsibility for the whole picture and ensure that work progresses in a structured and efficient manner. Background or experience in the waste management field is meriting, as are basic knowledge of workplace safety matters and relevant legislation. It's also an advantage if you have good understanding of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) as well as experience with procurement and general document management. As a person, you are service-oriented, socially confident, and professional in your interactions. You enjoy meeting people and representing the operation in a trustworthy and convincing manner – in conversations, during customer visits, and in collaboration with other stakeholders. You have an easy time building good relationships and meet our customers with respect, clarity, and genuine commitment. In your role as waste management officer/project manager, you will, among other things: Document and process cases in a structured and legally sound manner Develop and ensure routines, processes, and governing documents Lead and coordinate colleagues and partners in both smaller and larger projects Work with procurements and issues related to the Public Procurement Act Contribute knowledge about workplace safety and relevant legislation in the waste management field Participate in and drive development work related to waste management and service Conduct customer visits and meetings where you represent the operation in a professional and service-oriented manner Work closely with the waste management director and waste management engineers on projects and ongoing assignments Analyze statistics and investigate causes, correlations, and improvement areas Drive projects and represent the municipality in various working groups within our unique waste management collaboration What We Offer Upplands-Bro Municipality has the advantages of a small municipality, including short decision-making pathways and great opportunities to be involved in the development of operations.
