The position is placed within the Municipal Development Administration – one of the municipality's five administrations – where we work together to develop and shape the future of Tibro! Streets/Parks is responsible for a large portion of the municipality's operations, maintenance, and construction work in-house. The activities include, among other things, streets, parks and green areas as well as important parts of the municipality's technical infrastructure. The Municipal Development Administration also consists of the departments Planning and Building, Property, Water/Sewage/Operations, and Meals. Tibro Municipality is in an exciting and expansive phase with several ongoing development projects and future initiatives. DUTIES As department manager for Streets/Parks, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, work environment, and personnel. You are part of the Municipal Development Administration's management group and report directly to the administration manager. In your assignment, you have central support from an HR consultant and an economist. You lead and develop the operations within areas such as planning and construction of streets, utilities, and district heating conduits as well as maintenance of streets, parks, and green areas. The responsibility also includes water/sewage lines, district heating, paving work, and management of the municipality's forests. As department manager, you lead a department with approximately 15 employees and seasonal staff, which includes foremen and design engineers, among others. The role involves both operational and strategic responsibility with a focus on developing operations, creating efficient work methods, and meeting future needs and changes. You are also responsible for the department's budget, including budgeting, follow-up, procurement, and invoice management. Procurement of goods and services as well as the role as client towards contractors is also part of the position. Furthermore, you are responsible for the department's vehicles, machinery, storage, and workshop, and on-call duty occurs within the operations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have relevant academic education and/or experience in the field that the employer considers equivalent and suitable for the position. Meritorious • Documented experience of leadership with responsibility for operations, finances, work environment, and personnel. • Several years of experience in the field as well as experience with contract work. • Experience with procurement. • Experience of working in a politically governed organization. Duration: Permanent. Prior to employment, documentation must be provided showing that you are permitted to work on the Swedish labor market. For example, a certificate of Swedish/EU/EES citizenship (such as a passport), a certificate of residence permit, or a certificate of work permit to work in Sweden.
