Department Manager at Engbergs Transportsystem
Popis:
Do you have the qualities needed to become (or are you already?) a unpretentious, versatile, and responsible leader? Are you also a curious team player who wants to see the results of your work? Then you will thrive with us! Engbergs Transportsystem is characterized by entrepreneurship, genuine friendliness, and security for all employees – the well-known "Engberg spirit." With us, you develop long-term in a group that cares about you. Here you get (in addition to the world's best colleagues) wellness allowance, lunch benefits (Epassi), a morale bonus, and can sign up for health insurance. What will you do? Your department is responsible for machinery and truck drivers at Östrands Massafabrik in Timrå, and your workplace is located in our facilities within the factory area. You have personnel responsibility including staffing planning, schedules, employee conversations, and follow-ups. You plan and participate in work environment tasks such as safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident and near-miss reporting. You participate in the company's budget work and are responsible for your department's results and follow-up. The role also includes following up on and planning training for employees and developing training materials. As part of the company's and group's management teams, you contribute to the development of the entire Engbergs Group. Our daily work has varying pace and tasks – we operate year-round, around the clock, and handle all internal logistics at Östrand from unloading timber arriving by truck, train, and boat to shipping finished pulp for delivery. In between, we handle bark, wood chips, transport, and snow clearing. Working closely with Thomas, who is also a department manager, you lead and develop people and operations within your area – so that we can deliver safely, with the right quality, and on schedule. You work closely with the CEO, service manager, and transport coordinator, and always have our support functions in finance, IT, HR, and work environment within reach. You independently plan, structure, and prioritize your work tasks. Your role also includes close contact with our client and partner SCA. Who are you? To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be versatile and curious with a desire to learn and develop, and be able to implement new knowledge in practice. You enjoy being a leader, like structure, and want to see results of your work. Your leadership style is unpretentious, hands-on, and close with great trust in your employees. You are confident in prioritizing and making decisions in a high-tempo work environment. You see the business needs and are tolerant of and learn from mistakes made – both others' and your own. You are not hesitant about using different digital systems. If you have experience in industry, transport, healthcare, or other "24/7" operations, that is a major plus. Leadership experience weighs heavily. But most importantly, it's who you are and whether you fit the role and your colleagues in the entire Engbergs Group. About the Company With proven technology and a competent workforce, we deliver the right quality at the right time and adapt quickly to changes in customer needs. Our experience dates back to 1970, when Arne Engberg started the company by taking over wood and wood chip handling at SCA Östrand. Over the years, we have grown into a group, Engbergs Group, with 6 companies. We have kept our mission, and today Arne's son Kjell-Arne and his children Sara and Fredrik are company owners. Today, we are a modern logistics partner that grows with our customers and develops sustainable systems that create added value.
