What you will do As an elementary school teacher, you are the class teacher with overall responsibility for your group, while also seeing each individual and their needs. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on the curriculum and the school's approaches, with a focus on safety, study focus, and a clear thread in students' learning. You work closely with colleagues, student support services, and after-school care to create a cohesive school day – from the first morning meeting to the last after-school activity. As an elementary school teacher with us, you will, among other things: Plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on the curriculum and the school's governing documents Teach with a particular focus on language, reading, and writing development, as well as basic mathematics Create clear structures, routines, and a safe classroom environment where students dare to ask questions, try new things, and sometimes fail along the way Work closely with colleagues, student support services, and after-school care in a tight team around students' learning and well-being Maintain regular contact with guardians to support student development and create engagement Work daily with values, inclusion, study focus, and safety across the entire school Who we are looking for We are looking for someone who is confident in the teaching role, enjoys collaboration, and has a positive view of children, learning, and development. You are curious, reflective, and are happy to contribute both ideas and a relaxed, professional calm to the team. To thrive and succeed in this role, we would like to see that you: Are a certified teacher with authorization to teach in elementary school Have at least 1 year of experience working in primary school, preferably with younger age groups Have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written Have good computer skills and feel comfortable with digital tools in teaching and documentation Have thorough knowledge of the school's governing documents and can implement them in teaching, assessment, and follow-up Have experience from some form of leadership role, such as team leader or member of the school's leadership team (a plus) Why you want to work with us At Arnljotskolan, you step into a daily environment where words like safety, development, and learning actually show up in what we do.
