About the Activity Smedjebacken Health Center has approximately 7,100 registered residents. We operate a physician clinic, laboratory testing, healthcare advisory services, district nurse clinic, specialist nurses with their own clinics, child health services, midwife clinic, diabetes, blood pressure, asthma/COPD, memory clinic, as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation coordinator, counseling clinic, risk/substance abuse clinic, and mental health care coordinators with their own clinic at the health center. Our staffing consists of many different professional categories with broad expertise, and collaboration and utilization of each other's diverse knowledge is an important part of daily work. Our operations are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a licensed occupational therapist for Smedjebacken Health Center. Occupational therapy in primary care is in an exciting development phase where our expertise is increasingly in demand. We have close and well-functioning collaboration with other professionals including physical therapists, social workers/counselors, physicians, rehabilitation coordinators, nurses, and nursing assistants. We see collaboration between professions as essential for development and a well-functioning health center. Work Areas: Hand rehabilitation Memory assessments Patient and family/caregiver education (for example, Arthritis School) Assistive device fitting The work involves both individual interventions and teamwork with other professionals, with patient participation and independence always in focus. You will receive a tour of the entire health center's operations as well as in-depth introduction to the occupational therapists' various areas of responsibility. Qualifications Licensed occupational therapist Driver's license category B Experience in primary care is preferred, but experience from other settings is also valuable and of interest.
