The Labor Market Unit in Strömstad Municipality is part of the Work and Livelihood unit within Individual and Family Services. The unit also includes financial assistance and integration. We work closely together with the individual in focus and place great emphasis on collaboration to create sustainable paths to employment, studies, and self-sufficiency. The Labor Market Unit works to strengthen individuals' opportunities for establishment in working and social life through individually tailored support, collaboration, and initiatives that create conditions for employment or studies. We are now seeking a labor market consultant with a focus on young adults (ages 16–29). The position has a special focus on young adults who are far from employment or studies and involves close-contact, motivating, and coordinating work in close collaboration with various stakeholders. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a labor market consultant with a focus on young adults (16–29 years), you work to strengthen young people's opportunities for establishment in working and social life. The target group consists primarily of young adults who are far from employment or studies and who often need support from multiple stakeholders simultaneously. In this role, you work closely with individuals with a focus on motivating, guiding, and creating conditions for steps toward employment, studies, or other meaningful activity. You meet young adults based on their needs and circumstances and help create structure, motivation, and confidence in their own abilities. An important part of the assignment is to coordinate support and contacts around the individual. You serve as a resource in meetings with various societal actors and work in close collaboration with, among others, adult psychiatry, social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and educational providers to create more coherent support. The work includes outreach, motivating, and coordinating initiatives as well as assessment, planning, and follow-up together with the individual. You will also collaborate closely with the labor market unit's other operations to create pathways forward toward internships, studies, or employment. Your work tasks include, among other things: • work in a relationship-building and motivating manner with young adults • conduct assessments and establish individual plans • support individuals in contact with authorities and other societal actors • coordinate initiatives together with internal and external partners • conduct outreach work to reach the target group • help create pathways forward toward internships, studies, or employment • follow up on the individual's development and planned initiatives QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with a genuine commitment to working with young adults and who believe in the individual's potential for development and change. You have the ability to build trusting relationships and thrive in a role where collaboration, motivation, and individually tailored support are important parts of the work. Qualifications • University degree in, for example, social work, behavioral science, social pedagogy, pedagogy, occupational therapy, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. • Experience working with young adults or people in need of support. • Experience with motivation and change work. • Experience collaborating with other actors or authorities. • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish. • Good digital skills. • B-class driver's license. It is a merit if you have experience with: • work with young adults who are far from employment or studies • mental health or psychosocial issues • labor market initiatives, internships, or study-focused support • outreach or relationship-building work • coordinating work between different operations and actors • motivational interviewing (MI) or other motivating work methods To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are relationship-building, confident, and have an easy time creating trusting contacts.
