In this role, you'll also have significant influence over the operations and maintenance of our city! The City Environment Area is part of the Community Development Administration. We have approximately 110 employees across five operations in our area: Parks and Nature, Street Maintenance, City Maintenance, and the Traffic Unit. Our operational area covers public land. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As an operations manager, you will manage, develop, and improve the operations and maintenance of streets, roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, squares, public land, and other facilities within our operational area. Operations and maintenance are carried out both in-house and through contracted services. Your role is to develop maintenance plans, plan and distribute daily operations for approximately 21 employees. You serve as a client and requirements setter toward contractors, participate in procurements, detailed planning work, and ensure that deliveries comply with agreements. You're also responsible for monitoring the department's finances and budget, as well as certain documentation. You work closely with your supervisor and support the organization's workplace safety initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS To succeed as an operations manager with us, your personal qualities are important. You're confident in yourself, patient, and skilled at teaching and sharing knowledge. Creating good relationships with others motivates you, and you're flexible and helpful when needed. You have a positive attitude and are skilled at adapting your communication to the people you meet. You have a strong interest in leading and motivating others and are responsive to the group's needs. You're organized but can quickly shift focus when required. We're looking for someone with a high school diploma and relevant experience. You have several years of current work experience focused on leading and distributing work. It's a merit if you're comfortable working administratively and have basic economic knowledge. It's also an advantage if you have experience working in a politically governed organization. Experience in street maintenance, parks/nature, or the facilities industry, as well as procurement experience, is a merit. The position requires a Class B driver's license, good computer skills, and excellent Swedish language proficiency.
