We are looking for a staff member for our daily activity program in Hölö. Do you want to make a difference every day, contribute to people's development, and be part of important and meaningful work? At Åbykulle, we are seeking a calm, secure, and clear-minded person with a strong ability to create structure, prevent conflicts, and handle challenging situations with a low-affect approach. You need to be patient, relationship-focused, and able to stay calm even when others are upset or frustrated. The work requires a high level of ability to motivate, inspire, and support participants in starting and completing activities. A large part of the assignment involves creating meaning, motivation, and engagement in daily life. You therefore need to be persistent, creative, and able to adapt your support based on the person's daily condition and individual circumstances without giving up when resistance arises. It is important that you work preventatively by noticing early signs of stress or frustration and helping the participant understand, manage, and move forward in different situations before they escalate. You need to create security through clarity, consistency, and professional conduct. We place great importance on personal suitability. Experience working with autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors is a plus. It is particularly valuable if you have an interest in music and creative activities. The participant has a strong interest in music and dreams of becoming an artist. If you play an instrument, sing, produce music, or can otherwise use music as a motivating and relationship-building activity, we see that as a great asset. The ability to translate the individual's interests into meaningful activities is an important part of the assignment. We are therefore looking for a person who combines calmness and stability with commitment, creativity, and a genuine desire to help others succeed and develop. About the Role As a staff member in our daily activity program, you will work closely with our participants and support them in their daily activities. You will be involved in creating a safe and developmental environment where participants receive the support and care they need to live meaningful lives. The role also includes some practical and creative tasks as well as contributing to the program's operations and development. Main Responsibilities: • Support participants during daily activities and be an attentive guide. • Assist in running the activity program and participate in planning and implementing activities. • Participate in morning meetings and weekly wrap-ups. • Contribute to creating a positive and developmental environment for participants. Qualifications: • Education in care, social work, pedagogy, or other relevant field. • Previous experience working in LSS housing/day activity programs or with people with disabilities. • B-level driver's license (manual transmission). • Strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. • A flexible, responsible, and secure approach in your professional role. Valued Skills and Experience: • Musical knowledge and instrumental experience. • Craft skills and interest in practical activities. • Experience working outdoors. • Chainsaw and brush cutter certification. • Ability to drive with a trailer. • Knowledge of visual supports pedagogy, low-affect approaches, and other adapted methods. • Experience working with challenging behaviors and communication support such as AAC. • Interest in creating an active and stimulating daily life for participants.
